Special Permits:
- In categories B18, G18 and G16, a maximum of 5 players born 1 year before the age of the category may be called for each match.
- In categories B16 and B15, a maximum of 2 players born 1 year before the age of the category may be called up for each match.
- In categories B14, G14, B13 and B12 NO players older than the age established for their category may be called up.
- In the 8-a-side soccer categories, NO players older than the age established for their category may be called up.
- Female players may participate in male categories up to the age of 14, provided they meet the age requirement for the category in which they wish to register. However, female players may not participate in categories B15, B16 and B18.
Match Times:
- 11v11: (Pool Stage = 2 x 25 min halves) (Final Stage = 2 x 25 min halves)
- 8v8: (Pool Stage = [2 x 15 min] + [1 x 20 min] periods) (Final Stage = 2 x 25 min halves)
Rosters:
- 11v11: 20 players max.
- 8v8: 16 players max.
Subsitutions:
- 11v11: Must be made in a maximum of 3 slots per team, in addition to the half time.
- 8v8: 4 slots in 8-a-side soccer matches, in addition to the half time.
Under no circumstances, a team may make an additional substitution once its slots have been taken, not even if there is an injured player.

The largest international tournament in southern Europe with 900 Teams from 30 different countries. The Donosti Cup tournament headquarters are located near the Estadio Anoeta (stadium) of Real Sociedad. This stadium will be used for the impressive opening ceremonies. Many of the games are played at the official training complex for Real Sociedad with 4 grass fields, a small stadium and 1 artificial field.

One of Referee Abroad‘s first partners (we’ve been working together for the past 14 years), it will celebrate its 34th edition in 2026. Since 2016 the Donosti Cup is a tournament belonging to the network of the “RA Referee Academy“. Referees selected for this innovative “refereeing” development project, and their coaches, will also attend the tournament.

Each Tour will have at least one Soccer-Europa guide that will be with the group for the whole tournament. Their main tasks are to be the reference person of the tournament, go with the club to the games, propose free time activities, etc.

Schools are located in San Sebastian and the surrounding areas. Most of them have sports facilities. Each team will stay in 1 classroom and players should be always with at least 2 adults older than 18 years old. Participants should bring their own sleeping material: mattress or roll mat, sleeping bag, etc. WC and changing rooms are shared and there is a daily cleaning service.
