The Donosti Cup is hosted in San Sebastian Spain, ( Donostia in the Basque language). San Sebastian is located in the Basque country of Northern Spain and is truely the treasure of all Basque resorts.

From the Opening Ceremony, which is a one hour show gathering averaging more than 15,000 people, the Donosti Cup atmosphere is electrified! Teams from around the world participate in this cup year after year to make this one of the largest and most elite cups in the entire world. The Donosti Cup is truely a global event. Teams from Asia, Africa, North + South America and of course a huge participation of european teams from Spain, Andorra, France, England, Belgum, Italy and beyond show up to partipate in one of the most reknown youth soccer tournaments every year!

This is a 6 day Tournament with 4 matches guaranteed. The tournament will be played in accordance with FIFA and SPANISH FOOTBALL FEDERATION rules (F.E.F.). These rules are in reference to the matches played in 11-a-side and 8-a-side.

Groups of 4 or 5 teams will play a one round league. These matches can be played in three or four days. In groups of five teams, two matches can be played in the same day according to schedule needs. The top two teams from each group will move forward into the Champions league.

The 3rd and the 4th place teams will play in the Europe League series. The team in the fifth position will be automatically eliminated.

In the case of a draw at regulation time, there will be a penalty shoot-out of three kicks per team, in accordance with the regulations laid down by FIFA.

San Sebastian

The best-known image of San Sebastian, but no less eye-catching for all that, is its almost perfectly shell-shaped bay that you see in pictures above, widely considered to be one of the most beautiful in the world. The city, home to 180,000 people and the cultural and tourist capital of the Basque Country, works its seductive charm on visitors and tourists from all walks of life.

Donostia-San Sebastián's splendour throughout the centruries has long attracted European aristocracy for their summer holidays. You will find stunning architecture, such as the Old Grand Casino (presently the Town Hall), the Miramar Palace which was the summer residence of the Court and you will see the most beautiful architected bridges over the Urumea River. Take a stroll through the Old Quarter and view the beautiful houses with streets full of bars, restaurants and shops that date back centuries.

In the Old Quarter, the local passion for gastronomy is amazing! From the famous miniature cuisine of the 'pintxos' to the restaurants of the creative cuisine masters, good eating is one of Donostia's ultimate commandments. Another distinguishing element is the intense cultural life, going from small performances in the different quarters to great events, such as the Jazzaldia, the Musical Fortnight, or the International Film Festival.

Donostia-San Sebastián has long been a cultural & tourist hot spot for large events. Many of these large events are hosted at the Zurriola Beach in the Kursaal Palace. The architecture is comprised of two large glass cube structures featuring a wide two-tiered terrace with views facing Zurriola beach. The largest of the 'cubes' houses the auditorium (1,800 spectators), the main venue for the San Sebastián International Film Festival.
